What to Expect Fishing the Alabama Gulf Coast
The Alabama Gulf Coast offers more variety of fishing than most people expect. The bays and marshes between Fort Morgan and Gulf Shores hold speckled trout and redfish year-round. Move a little further out and Spanish mackerel, king mackerel, sheepshead, and pompano are in the mix. Get offshore into the Gulf of America and the fishing changes entirely — red snapper, vermilion snapper and triggerfish are all within reach of a day trip.
